Office Manager Job Description
Position: Office Manager - Part Time (24-25 hours/week)
Qualifications:
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Spirit of Cooperation with others, especially staff, and leaders.
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to work with all staff of the church, especially the Preaching Minister
- Ability to work with volunteers of the church
- Maintain a positive, serving attitude to do what is necessary when called upon
- Maintaining Christian behavior both on and off the job
Primary Roles:
1. Office Duties
-Discreet and confidential
-Friendly and cheerful to guests and through all communications
-Answer phone calls and emails – including some email prayer requests
-Make copies and create files as needed
-Take requests for Deacons Benevolence Fund and Yearly Moulton Fund
-Help maintain church calendar (online and physical) and building use
-Pass along needed information to church leaders
-Attend all required meetings
-Maintain QR codes
-Ordering supplies (Office, communion, and kitchen)
-Update and Maintain member information in PC and TIC software
-Assist in helping members access the building with the new system
2. Help with the Finances of the Church
-Confirm weekly giving batches
-Add online giving to PC software
-Organize, file, and maintain debit card receipts (Ike and Jaime)
-Itemize Credit Card statements monthly
-Work with trustees to keep QuickBooks in order
-Write checks & mail bills
-Have a working understanding of church finances
-Member Giving Statements (yearly)
3. Assist Preacher when Needed
-Maintain membership lists
-Make copies, create fliers, banners, and other items as needed.
-Prepare Baptism certificates and gifts. Order supplies as needed.
-Miscellaneous tasks assigned by the leadership team
4. Weekly Program
-Prepare online weekly program
-Proofread program using Grammarly
-Be willing to update the format of the online program to keep it looking new
5. Church Website
-Remove old information
-Add new and relevant information to the site
- Upload sermons (as well as PC and Podcast)
-Assist in adding any new pages as needed
-Maintain communication and updates via social media, website, and email
